Library

The State's leading botanical reference source, the Library at the Botanic Gardens of South Australia, contains more than 40,000 items including books, journals, reprints, microfiche, photographs, maps, plans, letters, memorabilia and other archive material. During the Library's 150 year history, material has been acquired by gift, purchase and exchange.

The Library supports the information requirements of staff of the Botanic Gardens of South Australia and State Herbarium of South Australia. People from outside the organisation, such as scientists, students, historians, researchers and the general public who have a bona fide need to use the Library's resources may have access by appointment.
