For the first time in 2014 the Botanic Gardens of South Australia will be on the Yellow Brick Road at the Royal Adelaide Show.
Between 5 and 14 September Yellow Brick Road participants can visit our stall to learn about corn, collect heirloom corn seeds and a growing kit to take home, and register to become an inaugural City Corn Crop farmer.
There will be plenty of fun corn activities so make sure you visit our stall!
Those who join us will have the first opportunity to get hands on in our City Crop, which will be planted and harvested by children for the first time in 2014. There's plenty of ways to get involved and discover the joy of growing fresh, delicious produce at home. Visit our City Crop page for all the details about this exciting project.
Did you know?
The Botanic Gardens of South Australia and the Royal Agricultural & Horticultural Society have connected the community with plants and agriculture for 175 years.
Some may be surprised to know the Royal Agricultural & Horticultural Society was instrumental in the formation of Adelaide Botanic Garden on its current site and held their first Shows adjacent to where the garden stands today
The Botanic Gardens of South Australia stall on the Yellow Brick Road celebrates this shared history.
