Take your horticultural skills to the next level and apply for the Santos Aboriginal School-Based Trainee Program.
This exciting program gives you the opportunity to undertake a work placement at the Botanic Gardens and State Herbarium of South Australia, while studying a Certificate II in Horticulture. Develop your horticultural skills and knowledge from world-renowned experts at Adelaide, Mount Lofty and Wittunga Botanic Gardens. You will spend one day a week (during school terms) at each of these sites, while completing your high school education. After 18 months, you will graduate with a Certificate II in Horticulture.
This program is a paid opportunity, and there are multiple positions available. The Santos Aboriginal School-Based Trainee Program is offered by the Career Employment Group.
Am I eligible?
The traineeship is open to Aboriginal high school students enrolled in Year 10 or 11 in 2019.
