** The safety and well-being of our visitors, volunteers and staff is our highest priority.
We are mindful of growing concerns surrounding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and are following all federal and state government policy and directives. We are closely monitoring updates through SA Health and the impact of COVID-19 on our community.
As a precautionary measure, we are suspending all education and public programs until the end of April 2020.
This includes the Schools Education Program, masterclasses and workshops, Monster Theatres talks and tours, and the School Holiday Program. If you are booked onto any of these activities, we will notify you of your options and next steps.
We're passionate about connecting children with plants and the natural world!
We have a full-time experienced and qualified educator at the Botanic Gardens, who develops and delivers our education programs. Our educator offers a variety of inquiry-based learning programs from preschool to senior secondary.
The programs are aligned to the Australian Curriculum, employ TfEL pedagogies and, where possible, have been constructed with students.
There are multiple learning experiences available for students at the Adelaide Botanic Garden with new programs being developed for both Mount Lofty and Wittunga Botanic Gardens.
The Botanic Gardens Schools Education Program is supported by the Department for Education.
