The Botanic Gardens of South Australia's education team delivers teacher professional development sessions for all staff throughout the year, from pre-school to senior secondary, covering a wide range of concepts.

All sessions are aligned to the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers Framework, with certificates of attendance issued upon completion.

We offer professional development sessions either at the botanic gardens or at your site.

Movement, Mindfulness and Wellbeing in the Garden - Teacher Workshop

Date: Friday 5 April 2019

Time: 8.45am to 3.00pm

Location: Adelaide Botanic Garden - Meet at the Goodman Building off Hackney Road

For: Reception to Year 7 Educators

Cost: $80 per person inc GST (small booking fee applies). Bookings through Eventbrite

Bring: Clothes and shoes to be active in, water, lunch, camera or mobile device, pen and note book

The Botanic Gardens and State Herbarium of SA is teaming up with Bluearth Foundation to deliver a Movement, Mindfulness and Wellbeing workshop for SA teachers in the Adelaide Botanic Garden.

This workshop will be an interactive learning experience where participants will explore concepts of mindfulness through a series of movement based challenges and experiences.

Participants will also be taken through a guided tour of Adelaide Botanic Garden and learn about the various collections and educational offerings available for students and teachers throughout the year.

The workshop will be an opportunity to connect with fellow educators. This professional development is aligned with the Australian National Teaching Standards Framework and a certificate of attendance will be issued.
