Unique learning experiences

The Botanic Gardens offers several unique standalone programs and events throughout the year. These range from World Environment Day in June to cross-site learning collaborations with other cultural organisations. 

Unique learning experiences allow students to develop deeper conceptual understandings.

Movement, mindfulness and wellbeing - schools event *SOLD OUT*

When: Thursday 4 April 2019 (Week 8, Term 1)

For: Classes of Years 3 to 5 students (max 30 per class)

Cost: $7.50 per student (inc GST)

Session times: 9.30am to 11.00am; 11.15am to 12.45pm; 1pm to 2.30pm

The Botanic Gardens of South Australia is teaming up with Bluearth Foundation to host a Movement, Mindfulness and Wellbeing in the Garden event. Classes will be scheduled in to 2 different facilitated lessons:

  • Movement and Mindfulness - join staff from Bluearth Foundation, one of Australia’s leading organisations promoting active lifestyles and mindfulness among young people, for a guided lesson of activity, exploration and discovery in the beautiful surrounds of Adelaide Botanic Garden.

  • Plants and Health - Botanic Gardens Education staff will lead students through an inquiry based learning experience that will explore the relationship between plants and health.
