Be the first to have exclusive early access to our new digital resources and share your feedback in this working session.

We are inviting science teachers to have an in depth look at the new digital resources developed by the education team at the Botanic Gardens and State Herbarium.

This professional development workshop will be spent going over the two new learning sequences, Adaptations (Year 4/5 Science) and The Science of Wellbeing (Year 7, 8 and 9 Science/STEM).

After going over the learning sequences, teachers will be invited to provide feedback on the resources and how they may be used in the classroom.

Your valuable feedback will be used by the education team to design authentic and engaging opportunities for schools to connect to the Botanic Gardens and State Herbarium.

Participating educators will receive a link to the resources to trial in their classrooms and enter a draw to win a free educator-led experience at the Adelaide Botanic Garden for their class!

This professional learning session will support you in demonstrating the following AITSL Australian Professional Standards for Teacher:

1.2 Understand how students learn
2.1 Content and teaching strategies of the teaching area
3.6 Evaluate and improve teaching programs
6.2 Engage in professional learning and improve practice
6.3 Engage with colleagues and improve practice
7.4 Engage with professional teaching networks and broader communities

A certificate will be provided with 4-hours professional development credit.

Light morning refreshments and free parking (Hackney Road and Plane Tree Drive) will be provided.
