Botanic Gardens of South Australia

Botanic Gardens of South Australia

Date posted: 01 August 2014

As of 1 August 2014 the Botanic Gardens of Adelaide will be known as the Botanic Gardens of South Australia.

This change reflects the diverse scientific, education and community programs undertaken by the organisation, and the geographical locations of Adelaide, Mount Lofty and Wittunga Botanic Gardens.

The Hon Ian Hunter, Minister for Sustainability, Environment and Conservation, and the Board of the Botanic Gardens and State Herbarium have endorsed the change.

As keepers of collections and knowledge the Botanic Gardens of South Australia will continue to connect people with plants and provide beautiful, accessible public spaces for the community to enjoy.
