The Adelaide Fringe returns to the Adelaide Botanic Garden in 2020!

We're excited to be hosting a whopping 19 shows hailing from 7 different countries across 3 pop-up performance spaces, all activated and curated by Hartstone-Kitney Productions

Celebrating its 60th year in 2020, the Adelaide Fringe has become the Southern Hemisphere’s largest, and Australia's biggest, open access arts festival.

So, in the words of the Adelaide Fringe, gather your friends and family for a "mythical, magical, fantabulous, fantasmagorical, supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" experience!

‘EURYDICE' returns to Adelaide to weave a world of day to day power and beauty and goddesses. Leni is 5 years old, holding a Superman costume for her first day at school. Eurydice is 5 years in to the rest of her life, with a bee tattoo on her wrist. A retelling of an ancient myth, always told from Orpheus' point of view. This is Eurydice's story. A story about making changes, taking leaps and being a daily superhero told through a searing mix of spoken word and live electronica.

From the Paris catwalks, to the office boardroom, performer Erin Fowler brings solo theatrical dance work FEMME, 2019 Best Dance Winner, back to the Adelaide Fringe for two shows only following shows in Reykjavik, Edinburgh and Stockholm. Drawing on her experiences as a fashion model and businesswoman, FEMME is one woman's search for self within the cacophony of gender and sexual conditioning that surrounds us. Winner of Best Dance in the 2019 Adelaide Fringe, and having toured to the Reykjavik, Edinburgh and Stockholm Fringe Festivals, FEMME explores concepts of femininity and female sexuality, the female body, the gender roles we conform to, or break against, and what it means to be powerful in a largely masculine dominant culture.

Set in the year 2150, where humans have become gender-neutral and use the pronoun ‘Ish’ to identify themselves, this immersive theatrical experience takes place in a residential house that is being transformed by two historians into a living museum commemorating Millennials for their upcoming sesquicentennial. I’ll Tell You This For Nothing - My Mother The War Hero presented by Kate JasonSmith and Hartstone-Kitney Productions

Amid this drama she found the love of her life, a Catholic, thus igniting a personal war with her mother, a Protestant. Joni Mitchell’s Daughter presented by Delia Olam in association with Hartstone-Kitney Productions

Few bodies of musical work so rouse and inspire as that of the legendary Joni Mitchell. But what do we know about the lifelong heartache of Mitchell, secretly giving birth to and giving up for adoption, a daughter just a year before going on to unthought-of artistic successes? Spooners for Crooners presented by Planet Clare

Spooners for Crooners is a comedic musing of the crooner, embodied by the moustachioed character ‘Mac’ who tares down paper moons to seek true intentions of the croon. And with the help of an exquisite trio of spoons: violin, double bass and keyboards, as well as larger than life character Penelopa, the crooner discovers a voice all of their own. Delivering old favourites and backlash ballads, Spooners for Crooners is a two hour musical spectacular inspired by Karen Carpenter’s coos over her Superstar who ‘told me you loved me baby’ and Patsy Cline’s brave ‘walks after midnight searching for you’.
