Rest with live bees in a participatory experience of inter-species intimacy and sensory dilation in Mike Bianco's Anthrocomb.

Rappaccini's daughter: Poisonous plants tour through the garden

Join us for a fascinating tour with Trevor Christensen to hear the story behind Julia Robinson’s new work Beatrice, (based on the short story Rappaccini’s daughter) and develop a deeper understanding of the tragic love story that befell Beatrice and her lover Giovanni.

Participants will then be taken on a tour and explore the highly toxic plants in the collection, gain an appreciation of their anthropological importance, place in history, toxic properties and some plant's place in modern medicine today.

In-conversation with artist, Julia Robinson, Curator of the Adelaide Biennial, Leigh Robb, and Curator of the Museum of Economic Botany, Tony Kanellos – followed by a night-time visit to see Beatrice in the Museum.
