Autumn is one of the most beautiful seasons to visit Adelaide Botanic Garden. The colors of the leaves change, the air gets a bit crisp, and the garden is full of life.

A friendly Tyrannosaurus Rex and its dinosaur friends will be taking up residence in Adelaide, as part of DinoFest.
DinoFest is an exciting outdoor kid-friendly event - which specialises in Tyrannosaurs - and will take children on a thrilling adventure through the gardens back to the ancient and lost world of the dinosaurs.
DinoFest has sold out shows across botanic gardens throughout New Zealand and will make its Australian debut in Adelaide this autumn.
This magical and unique experience includes a Dinosaur Encounter where children and families can get up close and personal with real-life moving dinosaurs.
There will be an opportunity to meet life-size walking Triceratops, Tyrannosaurus and Carnotaurus as well as lots of cute baby dinosaurs.
A special VIP mystery guest dinosaur will also be making her first DinoFest appearance right here at Adelaide Botanic Garden.
You'll also be guided by an expert DinoFest ranger who will take you and your children on a journey through the garden to learn about how Tyrannosaurs grew from small dog-sized dinosaurs, to become the world's most fearsome predator.
Travel along the DinoTrail - set in the Australian Forest- where you'll come face to face with over 30 dinosaurs along the way.
Plane Tree Lawn will be full of other awesome dino activities including a Dino Dig, arts and crafts and a unique 'feel a fossil' experience with real dinosaur bones!
Participants will learn more about the prehistoric ferns, cycads and conifer trees whose descendants still grow in the garden today.

Tickets include a 45-minute 'Dinosaur Encounter', dino-themed activities for kids and a DinoTrail featuring 30+ dinosaurs including a life-size Tyrannosaurus Rex.
What age range is DinoFest for?
Everyone is welcome to attend DinoFest. The experience is ideal for families and groups with children under eight-years-old.
Will it be scary?
DinoFest is not designed to be scary or frightening; however, the dinosaurs are realistic.
