People's Choice Award

Join the National Rose Trial Garden of Australia Inc. and make your mark at the People’s Choice Award.

Friday 26 April: 11am - 4pm

Saturday 27 April & Sunday 28 April: 10am - 4pm

The People’s Choice event gives you the opportunity to vote for your favourite roses in the trial garden, which is based within Adelaide Botanic Garden.

Over a two year period, rose breeds from local, interstate and overseas breeders are grown in the trial garden to see how they perform.

At the end of the two years, the roses are assessed by a group of rose society and rose industry members.

Awards are presented to the winning breeders/introducers at an Annual Awards Night held in Adelaide. As well as the Gold, Silver, Bronze and Certificate of Merit awards, there is the very prestigious People’s Choice Award.

This is where we need your input....

Enjoy a stroll around the trial garden to view the cultivars nominated on display. From these, choose your top five roses in order of preference. You can choose according to your own likes, be it fragrance, colour, type of bloom or type of plant (Mini, climber etc).

The results of this event provide an excellent insight for the rose breeders/introducers, rose growers and retailers as to the type of roses which are popular with the public.

The roses currently on trial have the potential to be on sale to the public within the coming seasons.
