Five things to do at Adelaide Botanic Garden this autumn
09 March 2023
Autumn is one of the most beautiful seasons to visit Adelaide Botanic Garden. The colors of the leaves change, the air gets a bit crisp, and the garden is full of life.
What: Eight-week yoga program (sessions weekly)
Dates: Monday, 27 March 2023 - Monday, 22 May 2023 (eight-week program excludes Easter Monday on 10 April)
Time: 9:30am - 10:15am
Location: Adelaide Botanic Garden, near the Dahlia Garden (G11 on the map)
Tickets: $120 per pair (adult and baby) for eight-week program.
Who: This event is appropriate for adults and their child 18 months to four years. All children must be accompanied by a parent/caregiver at all times.
Join an experienced yoga teacher from Generation Yogi as you and your toddler are guided through a gentle sequence of targeted yoga poses to benefit both adult and child.
Class begins with breath work, theme discussion and fun warm up yoga.
During the session you will focus on connection to breath and body through a series of targeted and partner yoga sequences, and games that align with the class theme.
Each sequence is interspersed with an action song to engage the little ones and keep the momentum going. Your class will conclude with five or so minutes of relaxation in Savasana.
Research has shown introducing yoga at an early age helps children meet their milestones, developing strength, coordination and body awareness.
No prior yoga experience needed.
Mats provided.
This yoga class will take place in a quiet spot in the Garden, under the shade of trees.
