Adelaide Botanic Garden is wheelchair accessible from all entrance gates.
Please note that entrance to the Hackney Gate off Hackney Road has quite a steep gradient. There is a winding pathway near the entrance which is less steep.
The Garden has paved and bitumen paths running throughout the Garden. There are some areas that have gravel or sawdust pathways.
Most of the Garden is flat, though there are some steep pathways leading to the Sunken Garden and Threatened Seed Orchard.
The Bicentennial Conservatory has two pathways, one paved at ground level which is slightly undulating, and a raised boardwalk that weaves through the tree canopy.
These walkways are low gradient slops, and will take you on a trail that is about 200m in length. Both walkways have full wheelchair access.
As this is a Rainforest environment, please be aware that there may be moisture in the air and on the paths depending on the weather and can sometimes cause the pathways to be slippery.
There are audio files througout the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition which feature personal descriptions of some of the images from the exhibition. These can be scanned using a QR code, or can be accessed from the Natural History Museum's website at nhm.ac.uk/wpy/audio

Wheelchairs are available to hire seven days a week, including public holidays. To use these, please pre-book them ahead of your visit.
To reserve a wheelchair over the weekend bookings must be made before 3pm on Friday, with the date and time you would like to hire the wheelchair for that weekend.
We will get back in touch to confirm if it is available and give instructions on collecting and returning it.
