The Friends of the Botanic Gardens of Adelaide are a vibrant, not-for-profit organisation whose members share a love of Adelaide, Mount Lofty and Wittunga Botanic Gardens and Botanic Park.
Joining the Friends offers several benefits to members:
- Exclusive evening, lunchtime and twilight meetings with guest speakers offering insights into botanical research and developments
- Discounts on various items including plant and garden product purchases at select nurseries and garden centres, flowers, travel, and printing
- Meeting with like-minded people for friendship and social activities from botanical art and photography special interest groups to book clubs and mahjong

- Receive four issues of the full-colour Friends’ Gazette and Newsletter annually
- Participate in community and fundraising events
- Opportunity to have articles published in the Friends publications
- Volunteer at the North Lodge Gift Shop, a key visitor magnet for botanical related art, books, products and craft items.
In addition, the Friends raise funds to support Garden projects. Most recent projects include contributing to the purchase of the Jet and Crimson Fiori glass sculpture by Dale Chihuly in the Bicentennial Conservatory, and provided funding for early-career botanical researchers, horticultural students and garden staff in the form of three Scholarships.
