Our horticulture volunteers support staff undertaking garden maintenance work in the garden.

Current opportunities available:

Horticultural volunteers

Tasks may include:

• Supporting Botanic Gardens and State Herbarium horticultural staff undertaking garden maintenance such as weeding, mulching and pruning.
• Active role in caring for our important plant collections.
• Working in a team environment
• Some botanical knowledge is needed, and physical agility is required for some tasks.

Please note that we may be at capacity for some volunteer roles and information sessions may not currently be scheduled. We encourage you to still apply, you will be added to the waiting list and we will contact you at the time when new positions become available and New Volunteer Information Sessions are scheduled.
