We collaborate and share knowledge on South Australian flora, safeguarding our collections and making collections-based data freely and widely accessible.
We are undertaking future-aware biodiversity projects to understand the evolutionary adaptations and likely future state of South Australian flora, and building resources documenting the variability of species traits including morphology, genetic diversity, threats to human health and production systems, species responses to fire, disturbance and drought.
The State Herbarium is the key centre for information on South Australia's plant, algae, fungi and lichen.
Our library contains more than 40,000 items including books, journals, reprints, microfiche, photographs, maps, plans and more.
