Joint Program – Adelaide Botanic Garden & Adelaide Zoo
This program is designed to help schools maximise the educational value of your excursions, providing a rich, curriculum-aligned learning experience across two of South Australia’s leading science and nature education sites.
For this unique joint program, booking and invoicing will be handled and confirmed through the team at Zoos SA.
At the Botanic Garden, students investigate plant adaptations across a range of biomes. Through guided exploration of rainforest, aquatic and arid environments, students examine how plants compete for light, water and nutrients, and how this has led to structural, behavioural and physiological adaptations.
At Adelaide Zoo, students extend this learning to the animal kingdom, exploring how animals have adapted to their habitats through physical features, behaviours and internal processes. Using biofacts, live animal encounters and interactive discussion, students can use skills developed earlier in the day to compare adaptations and apply their learning.
