Students will act as nature detectives to explore the biodiversity of the First Creek Wetland, located in Adelaide Botanic Garden.
Presented with a nature mystery clue, students will assess the health of the wetland. They identify macroinvertebrates identification keys and record their findings. Students will use scientific inquiry skills to investigate and observe the life cycles, habitats and wildlife of the wetland. Students will discuss the biodiversity and interconnections between different organisms in a food chain found in the wetland.
