Students will undertake hands-on fieldwork to assess the health of the First Creek Wetland, an urban freshwater ecosystem within Adelaide Botanic Garden. They will understand the wetland’s role as a stormwater recycling system. They will collect, record and analyse abiotic and biotic data as part of a comprehensive ecosystem assessment.
Through this investigation, students will develop an understanding of wetland biodiversity, ecosystem relationships, dynamic interactions, and the interconnectedness of living and non-living components.
Workshops are available for Year 7 to Year 12 students.
