Discover Adelaide Botanic Garden as the ultimate outdoor classroom! With authentic learning opportunities and curriculum connections across Science, HASS, Geography, STEM, the Arts, and Sustainability, this PD will guide you through connecting learning at the Botanic Garden back to the classroom.
Join us for a day out in nature and be guided by our expert Botanical Educators through three hands-on workshops and explore Adelaide Botanic Garden as your students would.

These programs are designed to engage and excite from Years 4 to 9 however you’ll have dedicated time to align these experiences directly to your curriculum outcomes with our Education team’s support. Confidently take your learning straight back to your classroom and walk away with practical, ready-to-use ideas.
Accessibility: Participants will cover an estimated 2.5km walking throughout the day. This includes sealed pathways, unsealed sawdust pathways and some minor inclines.
Aligned with: HASS, Geography, Science, STEM, Creative Arts & Sustainability. Please note that these programs align most strongly with Year 4 – 9.
Light morning tea will be provided.
This Professional Development will cover the following Australian Professional Standards for Teachers. You will receive a certificate recognising 4 hours of professional development after attendance.
