Within the serene setting of the Adelaide Botanic Garden, discover the healing power of nature with a guided forest bathing (Shinrin-yoku) experience.
You will be gently guided through mindfulness invitations that awaken your senses and help you feel more grounded and present.
Much of the experience unfolds in shared silence - a rare chance to step away from words and attune to the subtle sounds, textures, sights, and scents of nature.
There will be moments to share reflections with others in the group, fostering a sense of connection and community.
The experience concludes with a calming tea ceremony - a moment to pause, savour, and integrate the journey.
This is not a hike - it's an invitation to pause, wander slowly, become curious, and allow the body and mind to recalibrate.
Please note this workshop is intended for adults.
What to expect?
As this is an outdoor workshop, please wear supportive shoes and dress accordingly to the weather conditions on the day.
Please bring something you can carry to sit on (mat, blanket, or chair), water, insect repellent, and anything else that makes you comfortable.
This workshop covers a trail of approximately 1.5km in distance; it’s about moments, not metres!
Adelaide Botanic Garden has paved and bitumen paths running throughout the Garden. There are some areas that have gravel or sawdust pathways. Most of the Garden is flat, though there are some steep pathways leading to the Sunken Garden and Threatened Seed Orchard.
