** Please note that Botanic Park will be CLOSED for WOMADelaide from 23 February to 12 March. During this time, guided walks of Botanic Park will not take place.

You can still attend a guided walk through Adelaide Botanic Garden, which run daily at 10.30am.

There's more than meets the eye at this much-loved Park.

On this guided walk led by friendly guides from the Friends of the Botanic Gardens, find out about the botanical collections and their conservation value in this important arboretum.

Hear about the Park's history dating back to pre-colonisation, and how it is now home to a colony of threatened Grey-headed Flying-foxes.

Each guided walk lasts about an hour-and-a-half and no booking is required (unless in a group of five or more ).

Guided walks of Botanic Park depart from outside the North Lodge, Plane Tree Drive, at 2:00pm every Monday.

Booked guided walks

If you’re planning to come along with a group of FIVE or more people, we kindly ask that you book online in advance, and we’ll tailor the walk to create a truly memorable experience just for you. Please visit the Friends' website to find out more and book your bespoke tour.

A small fee for booked guided walks is returned to the Botanic Gardens and State Herbarium to help continue its important conservation, education and horticulture programs.

Please note that guided walks are run by our wonderful volunteers. We endeavour to run the tours as advertised, but occasionally there may be unexpected circumstances where we are unable to offer this service. We thank you for your understanding if this occurs.

All guided walks are cancelled on days forecast to reach 36 degrees or more.

Walks are not held on Christmas Day.
