Do you have a passion for conservation and plants? This Nature Festival, we are inviting people interested in plant conservation to join the state's Seed Conservation Centre team for a guided tour.
Head to the beautiful Adelaide Botanic Garden where you will visit the Seed Conservation Centre, explore the seed bank and its laboratories, and hear how this dedicated team are working to protect native flora from extinction.
Learn the importance of conserving seeds, the role of seeds in taxonomy, the techniques used to collect, image, germinate and store seeds and how the seed bank is used for projects conserving some of SA's most endangered plants.
You will gain an insight into the field and lab work required and its real-world conservation applications.
Please note this talk is intended for adults; we recommend it is suitable for ages 12 and up

Every contribution helps cover the costs of the event and profits will go towards supporting the work of the South Australian Seed Conservation Centre, Science and Conservation and the important work we do at BGSH. This is the guide price for the event, but we invite you to contribute an amount that is right for you.
