Journey across South Australia without leaving Adelaide Botanic Garden!

This National Science Week, we invite you to step behind the scenes of South Australia's plant conservation efforts.

You will meet rare and threatened plant species, learn about the state's seed bank, and discover how our scientists and flora ecologists protect plants from extinction.

Get involved with some hands-on propagation techniques, with your own native paper daisy seed to grow and take home.

Book your ticket to this workshop, an introduction for anyone interested in learning more about plant conservation.

This workshop covers a trail of approximately 1km in distance and includes a moderate incline when visiting the Threatened Seed Orchard.

Date: Saturday 22 August 2026

Times: 10:30am - 12:00pm

Location: Goodman Building, Adelaide Botanic Garden (C6 on the map)

Tickets: From $10.00 per person (inclusive of booking fees). This ticket supports science, education and conservation at the Botanic Gardens and State Herbarium

Please note this workshop is intended for adults; we recommend it is suitable for ages 10 and up.
