Join us for a community picnic amongst the spring blooms as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of our cherished Wittunga Botanic Garden.
Originally the private garden of naturalist Edwin Ashby, it was generously bequeathed to the state by the Ashby family in 1965 and opened to the public as a Botanic Garden in 1975.
Today, this beautiful garden features an extensive collection of water-wise plants from both Australia and South Africa, along with a lovely butterfly and bird garden, and a delightful nature-themed play area for children.
