Adelaide, Mount Lofty and Wittunga Botanic Gardens are open every day, including public holidays.

Opening hours during summer school holidays

Adelaide Botanic Garden 

• 7.15am - 6.30pm (Mon - Fri)
• 9am - 6.30pm (Weekends and Public Holidays)

Mount Lofty Botanic Garden

• 8:30am - 4pm (Mon - Fri)
• 8:30am - 6pm (Weekends and public holidays)

Wittunga Botanic Garden

• 8:30am - 6pm (Every day) 

Botanic Park 

• Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
• Please note that Moonlight Cinema is taking place on Botanic Park most evenings throughout the holidays.

Botanic Lodge - open from 9:30am daily. CLOSED Christmas Day. 

Evergreen Deli - open from 8.30am daily. CLOSED Christmas Day.

Evergreen To Go - open from 9:30am - 2pm, Friday - Sunday

Restaurant Botanic - closed from 22 Dec - 1 Jan. Reopening for dinner Friday 2 Jan

Diggers shop - usual open hours, daily from 10am - 4pm

As North Lodge is run by volunteers, sometimes the shop is closed at short notice. 

Buildings

Adelaide Botanic Garden

The Palm House and Amazon Waterlily Pavilion will be open daily.

The Bicentennial Conservatory will be closed on Christmas Day. This is where the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition is. It will be open every other day, including public holidays. 

Please note that the Conservatory will close at 2pm on days where the weather is forecast to reach 36 degrees C, and will be closed all day when the forecast is set to reach 40 degrees C or higher.

The Museum of Economic Botany - usual open hours, daily from 10am - 4pm

• December 25th - OPEN Christmas Day
• December 26th - OPEN Boxing Day
• January 1st - CLOSED New Years Day 
   

Guided walks

Tours of the three Botanic Gardens will take place as usual, except Christmas day when they won't run. They will also be cancelled on days when the forecast is set to reach 36 degrees celsius or higher. To find out more about the guided walks, visit our What's On page.
