Australians have long been fascinated by the Titan Arum, an endangered plant endemic to Sumatra, renowned for its rare bloom and pungent scent. 

What is less known is that our Mount Lofty Botanic Garden Nursery is the ‘mothership’ for Australian Titan Arum propagation and science. 

Several Titan Arums displayed in botanic gardens across Australia descend from specimens propagated here in Adelaide, making us the "Corpse Flower Capital of Australia". 

In this exclusive event, limited to just 50 guests, you have the unique opportunity to:

Date
It is likely to be late in the week beginning 12 January 2026.
The Titan Arum blooms on its own schedule, however, our experts can usually anticipate the flowering within a 24-hour window. 
We will notify ticket holders around midday the day prior to the event.

Time
Tour: 5:45am for a 6:00am start
Breakfast at Botanic Lodge: 7:00am
Concludes: 8:30am

Location
Bicentennial Conservatory, then Botanic Lodge.
