HEARTLAND at Adelaide Botanic Garden

HEARTLAND at Adelaide Botanic Garden

Date posted: 02 July 2013

Presented in association with the Art Gallery of South Australia's Heartland exhibition, the Friends of the Botanic Gardens of Adelaide invite you to join them on a special tour of Adelaide Botanic Garden.

The HEARTLAND guided walk at Adelaide Botanic Garden will explore the subtle appeal and delicate colours of the Mallee and admire natural wonders from South Australia. Our specially trained guide will also share their special places and favourite plants in the Garden.

On display at the Art Gallery of South Australia, HEARTLAND is an exhibition of contemporary art from South Australia that proposes an expansion of the genre of landscape to include the geographic, the political, the ecological, the immaterial, the emotional and even the spiritual. It consciously deviates from the use of the term landscape to include Indigenous and settler narratives, hoping to generate new ways of thinking about who and where we are.

Gold coin donation, no bookings required.

When: Tuesday 2, 9, 16, 23 July at 2pm

Where: Meet at the Schomburgk Pavillion, Adelaide Botanic Garden
