A world-class mind-blowing month across the city, featuring cabaret, comedy, circus, dance, film, theatre, music, visual art and design – is back for another year, and coming to Adelaide Botanic Garden!

From mid-February to mid-March the Garden will be stacked with performances and activities for those aged 0-100 and to suit all tastes. Check out the program below and start penciling in your diaries.

Something for the Adults

We’re excited to turn the Noel Lothian Hall in the Adelaide Botanic Garden into a set from World War 1.

The Bunker Trilogy: Morgana, Agamemnon and Macbeth

The 2014 Adelaide Fringe Best Theatre Award-winning triptych, The Bunker Trilogy, depicts three classic legends rediscovered in the heart of the Great War. The internationally-acclaimed, multi award-winning, sell-out sensation returns to Adelaide in the third centenary year of the First World War, after two sold-out seasons at the Edinburgh Festival, The Seoul Performing Arts Festival South Korea, and two acclaimed London runs.

The Bunker Trilogy: Morgana

Inspired by the legend of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. On the reserve lines of World War One, three young soldiers in search of distraction and delight find more than they’d bargained for in the beautiful, mysterious and mystical Morgana Le Fay.

The friends pass the time with stories of adventures and battles lost and won; with games of cards and songs of love. A dark and mysterious power haunts the trenches, taunting the brave knights with thoughts of home, of their school days, of the lives they’ve left behind – for King and country.

The Bunker Trilogy: Agamemnon

An intense reimagining of the Ancient Greek legend. Enter the trenches of the First World War, 1918, and journey into the delusions of a shell-shocked solider, devastated by war, cut off from help, convinced of a plot to bring him down.

Lying bloodied and wounded, the officer dreams of his return home, to his wife, to England. As the darkness descends and the enemy mounts its final attack, only one thought haunts Agamemnon: “What is there to live for?”

The Bunker Trilogy: Macbeth

An immersive and intense re imagining of the Shakespearean legend thrusts you deep into the trenches of the First World War as the warrior, tormented by witches, hallucinations and apparitions, prepares for his final battle.

Trapped on the front lines, his murderous deeds behind him, the weird sisters propel the soldier through his deepest memories as the bloody truth of his actions falls full force on Shakespeare’s greatest killer.

Across no man’s land, the enemy is stirring; above the trenches mortars fall from the sky; in the dugout, Macbeth’s greatest threat comes from the men who stand beside him.

Mr Badger tells the story of “The Wind in the Willows”

A delightful and intimate storytelling performance of Kenneth Grahame’s much loved classic “The Wind in the Willows”. First published in 1908, the story celebrates the joys of the natural world and friendship. This lively re-telling entertains youngsters and satisfies devotees.

Mr Badger tells the story of Toad, Ratty and Mole and their adventures on the Riverbank, the Open Road, the Wild Wood and Toad Hall. With the help of his small hand-made models of scenes and characters, he presents children with the chance to listen to a finely crafted story with wonderful descriptive language and enter an imaginary world.

Under a shady tree in the Garden’s beautiful surroundings, the unique performance makes an ideal family outing for children, parents and grandchildren alike. The performance lasts about 35 minutes and picnic style seating and rugs are provided.

Magical Adventures in the Enchanted Garden - Rainbow Kids & Family Yoga

Come along and experience Rainbow Kids & Family Yoga and go on a Magical Journey in the Enchanted Garden. Feel free to dress up with the magical theme and invite all your friends and family, for ages 0-100. Yoga is so much fun when you do it together so come and get lost in your imagination while creating awesome yoga poses, enjoying a massage, being creative with craft activities and enjoying song and dance. This is a free event for the whole family and every child receives a special gift. See you there!
