National Tree Day

04 July 2016

Date posted: 31 July 2016

Each year Planet Ark encourages Australians to join the country's biggest nature care initiative and tree planting event, and once again our three gardens (Adelaide, Mount Lofty and Wittunga) will host National Tree Day guided walks and plantings (Sunday 31 July).

The day's an opportunity to not only help or be involved with the planting of trees, but to reconnect with nature.

National Tree Day started in 1996 and since then more than 3.8 million people have planted 22.3 million trees and plants and it's still growing.

Peruse the program below and join us on 31 July to take part! The Garden's four South Australian Living Artists (SALA) Festival exhibitions will also be on show for the first time on this day.
