Ficus Avenue turns 150

How beautiful are Moreton Bay fig trees? Adelaide Botanic Garden's stately Ficus Avenue (previously named Murdoch Avenue) was planted full of them (Ficus macrophylla) in 1866 - 150 years ago in 2016 - and it's become arguably the Garden's most iconic vista. But what makes these trees so special?
