Our education volunteers support programs for school students, children and family groups at the Adelaide Botanic Garden.

Current opportunities available:

Little Sprouts Kitchen Garden volunteer

Tasks may include:

  • Supporting Botanic Gardens and State Herbarium education staff in the presentation of workshops for students, teachers, and family groups in the Little Sprouts Kitchen Garden.
  • Sharing information with visitors about where food comes from, healthy eating, sustainability and environmental awareness, lifecycle of plants, diversity of food and intercultural understand.
  • Supporting school holiday tours, workshops and events.
  • Minor garden care and maintenance (e.g. Setup/pack up and cleaning post-workshops, planting, weeding and composting tasks.)
