Educational trails - Educator Led

Let us guide your learners!

We'll take you all on a botanical journey and share our knowledge of the world that surrounds you.

  • Led by an expert botanical educator.
  • Most inquiry trails are of 60 minutes duration. If booking multiple sessions, allow 15 minutes between sessions. Please contact the Education Team if you require a shorter visit.
  • 30 students maximum per session, with adult supervision ratios as outlined under the Planning your visit page.
  • Cost of $6.00 per child, with a minimum charge of $120 per session (GST included in price).
  • Department for Education (DfE) Category 1-4, regional and remote schools receive a discounted price $4 cost per child, with a minimum charge of $80 per session (GST included in price).

Aboriginal Plant Use

This trail investigates the rich relationships between Australian Aboriginal people and plants. Suitable for kindy - yr 6. Learn more

Food Glorious Food

Students are led through a trail in the Garden, investigating a range of plants grown for food here & abroad. Learn more

Rainforest Experience

This trail allows students to explore the layers and biodiversity of the rainforest. Learn more

Sensory Trail

Children use sight, scent, sound and touch to learn about the various plants on display. Learn more
