Adelaide Botanic Garden shrinks for new ABC TV show
03 May 2022
Adelaide Botanic Garden has been shrunk down to fun-sized flowers, teensy trees and a petite Palm House for a new ABC TV show, Tiny Oz.
Please note that this trail is available as a self-guided trail only at this time. We apologise for any inconvenience.
Students are led on a trail through the Mallee collection at the Adelaide Botanic Garden focusing on a number of plants to highlight sustainability issues, science adaptation and traditional Aboriginal plant use.
The Mallee and Arid region vegetation covers most of South Australia.
This inquiry also compares some of the land use practice of traditional Aboriginal people with modern land use methods.
Indigenous storyteller, educator and guide Trent Hill is also available to lead early years, primary and secondary programs. These include Aboriginal Plant Use trails, Artefacts lessons and Dreamtime stories.
More information on Trent can be found on our Unique Learning Experiences page.
To contact Trent for a booking inquiry or for further information send him an email.
